Bag a tech gift for you and a fellow contractor when you recommend a friend.

Which tech will suit your working style?

You and a fellow contractor can bag yourself a free tech gift from Brookson with our recommend a friend scheme. Both of you will be able to choose from a new laptop or tablet when your contact has signed up. Sound good? Here are the gifts you can pick from:

Apple iPad 9.7″

Some contractors may not have the need for a laptop and prefer a tablet instead. This Apple iPad is the perfect lightweight solution, offering functionality at the tap of a TouchID button. It’s durable and has a long-lasting battery, so can be chucked into a bag ready for whenever it’s required.

The 9.7-inch screen will meet the needs of most, as will the 2048 x 1536 resolution. While the colours are good, anyone who works in design may want to opt for a more specialised device. Again, the downward-facing speakers will be enough for most users, unless you have specific work-related high-spec needs.

This Apple iPad 9.7-inch has an RRP of £319.

Dell Inspiron 15 5570 laptop

Dell’s Inspiron 15 5570 laptop is a good option for business users, due to its clean lines and un-fussy design. It’s not a cumbersome device, weighing in at 2.12kg and measuring 23mm in thickness, meaning you can take it anywhere if you’re heading out of the office.

A full HD screen and significant amount of onboard power means you’ll be able to work with several applications open at the same time. Depending on your line of work, this may be vitally important. With an integrated 1TB Solid State Drive (SSD), you’ll have easy access to your documents and since SSDs are quicker and quieter than traditional hard drives it’s a win-win.

The RRP for the Dell Inspiron 15 5570 is £499.

Lenovo Yoga 510-14AST laptop

Bridging the gap between a laptop and a tablet, the Lenovo Yoga 510-14AST offers the best of both worlds. It is uncomplicated, but still represents much of the functionality of a PC, while you can ditch the keyboard and just use the touchscreen when presenting to clients.

Some people may find it takes time to get used to a smaller keyboard, but this Lenovo is good as a second device, especially if you’re often on the road. The 14-inch screen has a sharp 1920 x 1080 resolution and the Harman stereo speakers offer great sound output, making this machine a joy to use.

The Lenovo Yoga comes with a £499 RRP.

Refer a friend to Brookson so you can both benefit from one of these rewards. Better still, you don’t even have to pick the same device if you have differing needs.*
