Flexible working, one of the key advantages of becoming a limited company contractor, is set to become more common after the London Olympics.

That is according to Smart Growth Analytics, the economic research and intelligence consultancy firm, which observed that flexible working practices will be adopted to minimise disruption during the Olympic Games.

Jim Plunkett-Cole, principal analyst at Smart Growth Analytics, commented: "The findings from this analysis help us to understand the increasingly important home-based economic functionality of London’s residential areas.

"With evidence that many City firms will be adopting flexible working practices to reduce disruption from London 2012, the Games will no doubt boost London’s home office market tremendously."

The Games, he said, are set to leave a lasting legacy on working patterns of people throughout the UK.

If you would enjoy even more flexibility, however, then it is worth setting yourself up as a limited company contractor, which would ensure that you avoid regular rates of taxation.
