Recommend a Friend Terms and Conditions
1. The Recommend a Friend Offer (“the Offer”) is organised by Brookson Limited, 320 Firecrest Court, Centre Park, Warrington, WA1 1RG (“Brookson”) and is open to existing customers using Brookson’s Limited Company Accountancy Service or employees of Brookson Solutions Limited (collectively known as “Brookson Solutions Limited”), hereafter known as the Referrer (“Referrer”);
2. The Offer runs from 1st January 2024 (“the Offer Period”) and provides that, subject to eligibility and the Offer conditions herein, if the Referrer refers an individual (“the Referred”) and the Referred agrees to operate via one of the businesses or solutions identified within clauses 2.1 and 2.2, both the Referrer and the Referred shall be entitled to receive a Reward (“Reward”) in accordance with these terms and conditions:
2.1 Brookson Limited Company Accountancy Services (“Limited Company Service”);
2.2 Employment with Brookson Solutions Limited (“Umbrella Employment Solution”);
3. The Rewards (identified in the Reward Table below) available to the Referrer and the Referred will be dependent on the business or solution retained by the Referred.
3.1 It is acknowledged that no further reward will be issued where the Referred subsequently refers the Referrer.
4. The Referrer will obtain the consent of the Referred for their contact details to be passed to Brookson. Upon receipt of the contact details, Brookson will have a legitimate interest to process the information of the Referred. Brookson shall use the information received from the Referrer to promote its services, offers and product information by e-mail, SMS or phone. In order to provide certain product materials Brookson may employ the services of external companies. The Referred has the right to object to marketing from Brookson by contacting [email protected]. Eligibility
5. In order for the Referrer and the Referred to become eligible to receive the Reward, the Referred must have either:
5.1 Traded within 3 months of signing up to the Limited Company Service and paid a full direct debit payment within this period;
5.2 Been employed by and received payment from Brookson Solutions Limited for no less than 4 weeks work.
5.3 The Referrer must have also paid no less than one full direct debit payment retaining the Limited Company Service or have been employed and paid by the Umbrella Employment Solution for no less than 4 weeks of work within the period of 3 months after commencing employment with the Umbrella Employment Solution.
Rewards
6. The Rewards available to the Referrer and the Referred are set out in the Reward Table below. All Rewards are subject to availability, the terms and conditions herein.
7. In order for the Referrer and Referred to be eligible to receive a Reward the referral must have taken place during the Offer Period and the Referred must sign up to one of the ways of operating identified under clauses 2.1 and 2.2 and make the full payment.
8. The Reward available to the Referred where the Referred becomes an employee of the Umbrella Employment Solution is limited to 4 weeks where no margin will be retained by Brookson Solutions, save for where the Referrer is a Brookson Solutions employee and the Referred retains the Limited Company Service, in such instances the Referrer is entitled to 8 weeks where no margin will be retained by Brookson Solutions.

9. Only one Reward can be claimed by the Referrer per referral and only one Reward can be claimed by the Referred. Rewards available are determined by the way the Referrer operates and by the way the Referred chooses to operate (Limited Company Service or Umbrella Employment Solution).
10. The Referrer may only claim one reward per referral and only one reward will be provided to the Referred.
11. Where Brookson is instructed to produce the Director’s personal tax return, Brookson will account for the Personal Rewards issued as a benefit in kind on the Director’s personal tax return to ensure appropriate tax and national insurance contributions are paid. Details of tax and national insurance contributions payable in relation to each Personal Reward are available upon request.
12. Where Brookson is not instructed to produce the Director’s personal tax return, the Director will need to account for the Personal Rewards as a benefit in kind on the Director’s personal tax return to ensure appropriate tax and national insurance contributions are paid in relation to each Personal Reward.
Conditions to be satisfied
13. Referrers are required to provide the following information to Brookson to enable both the Referrer and the Referred to be eligible to receive one of the Rewards contained within the Reward Table:
13.1 Referrer’s full name;
13.2 Referrer’s Brookson Unique ID;
13.3 Referrer’s email address;
13.4 Confirmation that Brookson is permitted to contact the Referred;
13.5 Referred‘s full name;
13.6 Referred’s email address;
13.7 Referred’s telephone number;
13.8 Referred’s full address including house number, street name, town, city, county and postcode;
14. The Referred must confirm to Brookson during the initial consultation that he/she was referred to Brookson by the Referrer.
15. It is a condition of the Offer that the Referred has not previously operated via the Limited Company Service and/or has not been an employee of Brookson Solutions for a period of 2 years prior to the commencement of this Offer. If the Referred has engaged Brookson for any of the above, 2 years prior to the date of the referral, Brookson has the right to withdraw the Offer and the Referrer and the Referred will not be eligible to receive a Reward.
16. The Offer is not available to any individuals who currently retain Brookson for bespoke tax and/or accountancy advice and/or Brookson’s yearend service and/or Brookson's Deemed Payment Service and/or customers in a non-trade service or individuals who have outstanding fees owing to Brookson or where Brookson are in the process of completing cessation accounts. If the Referrer or the Referred does engage Brookson for any of the above Brookson has the right to withdraw the Offer and the Referrer and the Referred will not be eligible to receive a Reward.
17. The Referrer and the Referred shall only be eligible for the Reward where they have complied with the obligations set out within these terms and conditions.
18. All Rewards will be issued to the Referrer and the Referred subject to clauses 15 and 16, after the first full direct debit payment has been made by the Referred for the Limited Company Service or after the Referred has completed and received payment for 4 weeks work by the Umbrella Employment Solution in accordance with these terms and conditions.
19. In the event that the Referred’s employment with Brookson Solutions is terminated for any reason (irrespective of fault) before the Referred completes and receives payment for no less than 4 weeks work the Rewards will no longer be available to the Referrer and the Referred.
20. In the event that the Referred’s engagement with Brookson Limited for the Limited Company Service is terminated for any reason (irrespective of fault) before the Referred pays its first direct debit payment the Reward will no longer be available to the Referrer and the Referred.
21. In the event that the Referred undergoes a consultation with Brookson’s New Business Team but does not retain Brookson for the Limited Company Service or the Umbrella Employment Solution or does not pay the first direct debit payment to Brookson within 3 months of this Offer or is not paid by Brookson Solutions Limited for no less than 4 weeks work within the period of 3 months after commencing employment, the Reward will no longer be available to the Referrer and the Referred.
22. Brookson reserves the right to determine when to issue the Reward to the Referrer and the Referred.
23. No cash alternatives will be offered in place of the Reward and Rewards cannot be changed from the description contained the Reward Table. Once the choice of Reward has been confirmed by the Referrer and the Referred this cannot be changed to an alternative Reward.
24. Brookson will use reasonable endeavours to ensure that delivery of the goods occurs within 30 days following the criteria specified in clause 18 being satisfied. Brookson will not be held responsible or liable for deliveries delayed due to unforeseen circumstances or due to adverse weather conditions or otherwise.
25. If a Reward is not claimed by the Referrer within 12 months of making the referral to Brookson, the Reward will no longer be available to the Referrer.
26. Brookson will distribute Rewards to a UK address only. It is not possible for Brookson to arrange for the Rewards to be delivered to an overseas address.
27. All queries or comments relating to the Offer should be sent in writing to the following address: Brookson Limited, “Recommend a Friend and Receive a Reward”, 320 Firecrest Court, Centre Park, Warrington, WA1 1RG.
28. By accepting this Offer, the Referrer and the Referred consent to receiving information from Brookson relating to new services, offers and product information by e-mail, SMS or phone. In order to provide certain product material Brookson may employ the services of external companies. This would involve Brookson supplying personal data to those companies. The Referrer and the Referred can unsubscribe from all service/product updates by emailing [email protected]. Brookson requires notification immediately in order to update records and prevent this from occurring.
29. Brookson reserves the right to withdraw and/or amend the Offer as appropriate. The Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer of promotion.
30. The Offer will only apply at the discretion of Brookson.
31. The Offer is available only to persons who can form legally binding contracts under English law. Without prejudice to the foregoing, the Offer is not available to individuals under the age of 18. If the Referred does not qualify, the Referred shall not be permitted to operate via one of the ways of operating under clauses 2.1 and 2.2 or apply for the Offer.
32. Brookson reserves the right to alter, amend or foreclose the Offer without prior notice or liability. Any Referrer or Referred who qualifies for the Offer agrees to indemnify and hold Brookson harmless against all actions, claims, demands, liabilities, losses, damages, costs and expenses of whatever nature that may result or which Brookson may sustain, suffer or incur as a result of Brookson agreeing to provide the Offer to that Referrer and the Referred.
33. By entering the Offer, the Referrer and the Referred will be deemed to have read and understood these terms and conditions and be bound by them.
34. The Offer is run in accordance with, and will be governed by, the laws of England.
